My question to you today is, are we ready to set bold goals &
go for them with true tenacity?
Well, GE has announced that they are publicly committing to hiring
over 20,000 women for technical and product management roles. I discovered this
information, just on the heels of our fantastic Women in Leadership Summit. Now,
I am not saying, go out and make large public statements or promises. But, I am
asking us to really think about ourselves and determine - if we are ready to
commit to a new course of action.
"Currently, about 14,700 women work for GE in such roles,
representing 18 percent of its technical workforce. That means the company will
need to hire more than 5,000 engineers, technicians, and other skilled workers
who are women within a few years."

So have you and your teams considered a traditionally
under-represented person in our industry for any roles lately? What tangible
action items are we taking to ensure our future and talent pipeline. I have
attached the PDF of the article reference above, and linked the commercial
